Statistical and qualitative analysis of the Evimp2 results

The Growth programme under the Fifth European Community Framework programme for Research (FP5) aimed to generate knowledge / technologies which would lead to increased economic growth and to the creation of new jobs in Europe. The programme has invested €2.705 million into research and technology projects in order to bolster innovation efforts of European industry towards achieving greater competitiveness and to support Community policies that enable competitive and sustainable development in Europe. This report presents the findings from the evaluation of a key number of the projects funded as part of the Growth programme. It covers 726 RTD, CRAFT and Thematic Network projects under Key Action 1 (KA1) and General Action 1 (GA1 or ‘Materials’) of the Growth Programme, representing €992 million of EU funding.
