Curriculum vitae

Benedikt Sedlmayr studied Geography and Business Administration at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Business and Regional Development at the Munich University of Applied Sciences, and Regional Management and Economic Promotion at the HAWK in Göttingen. After having gained professional experience in a regional economic development entity, he joined the VDI/VDE-IT and Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) in 2017 as a consultant. His fields of expertise include economic and innovation promotion at the municipal, regional and supraregional level, cluster policy and cluster development as well as smart cities and smart regions. The analysis of regional development potentials and the support of municipalities, regional institutions and cluster or network initiatives in strategy development processes form the core of his work.
