Curriculum Vitae

Jan-Ole Malchow gained extensive experience as a software developer before moving into computer security research. He is state-certified German Computer Science Professional for software development and holds a master's degree in computer science. After studying computer science with a focus on security in Hamburg and Berlin, he worked as a research assistant at Freie Universität Berlin for several years. In his work, he dealt with different aspects of IT security. In parallel to this activity, he was co-founder of a consulting company for industrial IT security. Since 2018, he has been working for the iit as a consultant with the main topics IT security and privacy.
