Curriculum Vitae

Dr. Schaat studied medical computer science at the Vienna University of Technology (TU). During his studies, he was able to gain practical experience in software development as a freelancer and to apply his scientific interests in applied research as an employee of the Medical University and project manager at the Vienna University of Technology. In 2016, the results of his research led to a doctorate in the field of cognitive systems and artificial intelligence at the Vienna University of Technology. He then applied the knowledge he had acquired to research into digital assistance systems for people with dementia at the DZNE (German Centre for Neurodegenerative Diseases in the Helmholtz Association).
