Curriculum Vitae

"The digitisation of higher education was a task for two years at Kiron Open Higher Education. We applied quality standards and processes in place at higher education institutions and establishment digital curricula on these basis. Implementation into practice on a digital platform was helping to bridge the gap for refugees into higher education. Recognition and digital credentials was part of my daily work routine at that point."

Since November 2018, Thomas Rieke has been working at VDI/VDE-IT and Institute for Innovation and Technology. Prior to that, he lived in Syria for several years, worked as director of an international office at a Syrian university and on the implementation of EU projects in the MENA region. He was consultant for DAAD, GIZ and UNDP, and joined the Technische Universität Berlin Campus El Gouna in Egypt as head of administration.
