Curriculum Vitae

Wolfram Groß studied electronics and communications engineering at the University (GH) Paderborn and Graz University of Technology, Austria. He earned his "Diplom-Ingenieur" degree from TU Graz in 1985 and worked as design engineer (ASIC design, Implementation of EDA tools) with Rohde & Schwarz, Munich, between 1985 and 1990. Since 1990, Groß functions as scientific consultant with VDI/VDE-IT where he was deputy head of the technical department (Information Technology and Energy Management) from 2002 to 2010. His main focus lies on information technology, cyber physical systems, embedded systems, internet of things, innovation management and technical consulting for investors (VCs, banks).

Wolfram Groß currently serves as manager for the project "Gründerwettbewerb – Digitale Innovationen" of the German Federal Ministry of Economics. In addition, he was responsible for the construction and implementation of studies such as "Requirements on Technology- and Economic Politics through Convergence of Electronic Media" (2014) and "Technological and Economic Perspectives for Germany through Convergence of Electronic Media" (2010). He furthermore developed an evaluation system and targeted evaluation of the aeronautic research programme of the German Federal Ministry of Economics (2012/2013).
