Symposium 'Perspective Permeability - Designing Credit! Opportunities for vocational and higher education' of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF)

The symposium, part of the initiative 'Acceptance of vocational skills in higher education study programmes' of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, linked experiences from work and higher education in the context of permeability and recognition from an innovation policy, work and professional world perspective. The symposium followed up on the guidelines for modernising and structurally improving vocational education and training issued by the BMBF's Innovation Circle on Vocational Education and Training. With almost 200 participants from universities, industry, politics and vocational training providers, it helped to break down the barriers between the vocational and higher education systems and strengthen the cooperation between industry, science and politics that is necessary for a future-oriented vocational training policy.
