Curriculum vitae

Matthias Palzkill studied Physical Engineering Science at the Technical University Berlin and at the University of Durham in England. He subsequently attained a doctorate to Dr.-Ing. at the Institute for Control Engineering of Machine Tools and Manufacturing Unit at the University of Stuttgart on industrial robot systems and methods for computer vision. At the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation IPA, he devoted himself to the development of robot-based automation solutions and initiated its launch and commissioning in production. Since 2013, Matthias Palzkill is a consultant at the headquarters of VDI/VDE-IT in Berlin in the field of communication systems and human-machine interaction. He supports research projects of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research in the field of human-machine interfaces and advises companies in the implementation of pilot plants in the field of "Industrie 4.0" and the Internet of Things. The main focus of his work is the digital transformation of companies, both in manufacturing and in services.
