Curriculum vitae

Tom Kraus studied mathematics and computer science with a focus on scientific computing at the Ruprecht-Karls University of Heidelberg and received his PhD in bioscience engineering from the University of Leuven (Belgium) with a thesis on model predictive control and optimization-based state and parameter estimation. For three years, he was responsible for the management of the Scientific Computing programme from Heidelberg University's Institutional Strategy which was funded through the Excellence Initiative, and worked as a research associate at the Heidelberg Interdisciplinary Center for Scientific Computing. Since 2017, Tom Kraus has been working as a consultant at the iit.
