Global trends and international developments have an impact on local innovation landscapes. And vice versa, it is possible that a local innovation results in far-reaching changes.
Analysing global trends and comparing international developments – this is standard practice when discussing political and economic issues. International approaches and solutions already exist for many national issues. By taking the experiences of others into consideration, one’s own objectives may be achievded even more effectively. The iit is not only represented internationally at several foreign chambers of commerce, but also works on various international projects. Thus, the iit has very good prerequisites to recognize and evaluate international trends at an early stage in order to be able to propose suitable own innovation strategies. For example, the following questions can be discussed comprehensively:
- Who are the actors at an international level that drive developments in certain areas?
- Which trends can be ignored in certain contexts and why?
- What do national or regional innovation landscapes look like for specific technologies?
The iit’s projects and publications from the international context are listed below.
