Curriculum vitae

Dr. Julia Kaltschew studied physics and received her doctorate from the Department of Materials Science at ETH Zurich. At the iit within VDI/VDE-IT, she works as team lead and is responsible for the "5G Innovation Programme" of the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure as project leader. Another focus of her work is the coordination and monitoring of European microelectronics funding. As an author, she has contributed to publications and studies in the field of material efficiency/functional materials as well as to position papers on electromobility and automated driving. In this field, Dr. Kaltschew has also been involved in the initialization and coordination of road mapping processes with industry and research actors in the European context. Before joining VDI/VDE-IT, Dr. Kaltschew did research on magnetic shape memory alloys at the University of Loughborough and magnetism in semiconductor structures at the ETH Zurich.
