Curriculum vitae
After studying geography at the University of Hamburg and the Universidad Autónoma de México (Mexico City), she completed her doctorate on ecosystem research in arid regions with a focus on hydrological systems at the Free University of Berlin and the University of Namibia. Between 2018 and 2023, Ms. Faulstich worked as a research assistant at Freie Universität Berlin, focusing on water in the context of water supply, water quality, water reclamation and water in the circular economy. Topics such as sustainable value creation and resource use, geopolitical issues as well as global supply chains and rare earths are part of her broad field of interest. She has applied for and supervised third-party funded projects in Germany and abroad, carried out quantitative studies and acted as a reviewer. Since 2023, she has been working as a scientific consultant at the iit, in the department of “Mobility, Energy and Future Technologies”.
