Accompanying and impact research of the programme 'ELECTRO POWER II' of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy
The funding programme 'ELECTRO POWER II: Electric Mobility – Positioning the Value Chain' is part of a comprehensive package of measures with which the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi) is implementing the goals set out in the Federal Government's National Development Plan for Electric Mobility of 2009. The central goal is to strengthen the electro mobility value-added chains from an industrial policy perspective. Accordingly, the established cooperation between lead industries and science is to be intensified and the networking between the individual industries strengthened. The R&D projects are intended to help reduce the overall system costs of electro mobility, to lower barriers to the industrialisation of the new technology, to remove obstacles to purchasing and to integrate electro mobility economically into the energy revolution.
In addition to providing technical support and international networking for 14 collaborative projects, supporting the BMWi in public relations and evaluation, the accompanying and impact research also provides for the processing and coordination of overall four cross-sectional topics:
- Industry 4.0
- Standardisation and Normalisation
- Legal framework
