Evaluation of the Center for Molecular Diagnostics and Bioanalytics

The Center for Molecular Diagnostics and Bioanalytics (ZMDB) was founded in 2009 as a platform for technology transfer. The aim was to promote the development and production of innovative diagnostics in the Berlin-Brandenburg health region during a five-year funding period. Within the scope of the evaluation, the success and development potential of the ZMDB as a technology transfer platform for the fields of diagnostics and bioanalytics in the Berlin-Brandenburg region was examined. Questions regarding the quality of the activities and measures implemented as well as the development and structural embedding of the organization itself were in the foreground. As a result, the contribution of the ZMDB to technology transfer was made visible and feasible recommendations for action were developed.
