Framework agreement "Digital working society - strategic foresight"

Together with its partners Foresight Solutions and Schaltzeit GmbH, the Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) is supporting the Federal Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs with strategic foresight: The job market and society are undergoing a profound transformation process that is putting companies and employees under considerable pressure to change, adapt and innovate. Against this backdrop, the BMAS is focusing on the challenge of recognizing and addressing future developments that will have an impact on the design of labour and social policy as well as technology and innovation policy at an early stage. The aim of foresight is to identify the labour, social, regulatory and socio-political challenges arising from technological progress (e.g. big data, sensor technology, Artificial Intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, Industry 4.0), associated phenomena such as the platform economy and the socio-ecological transformation (triple transformation of digitalization, decarbonization and demographic change), to describe them holistically and continuously as well as analyse them in an interdisciplinary manner and to open up scope of action with the involvement of all relevant stakeholders.
