Innovation-supporting measures for the competition 'Advancement by education: open universities'

In 2010, the Federal Government and the governments of the States provided an important impetus for the development of demand-oriented and needs-based continuing education offerings at universities with the Federal-States-competition 'Advancement by Education: Open Universities'. The aim of INNOVUM-OH is to contribute to maintaining this dynamic and to ensure that the results of the competition are communicated nationwide and transferred to the general public. INNOVUM-OH is based on three pillars: 1. identification of fields of action and preparation of activities in the field of scientific continuing education, 2. close linking of the competition with the 'Digital Agenda 2014-2017' of the Federal Government and 3. sustainable establishment of the competition results.

The Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) carries out the innovation support measures using a broad mix of methods, including feasibility studies and regional and sector-specific potential analyses.
