Scientific support and transfer of results for the technology program 'Smart Service World – Internet-based Services for the Economy'

The technology program 'Smart Service World - Internet-based services for business' promotes R&D activities that enable innovative ICT-based services. The 20 funded projects are developing prototypical solutions that collect and analyze data on the basis of networked, intelligent technical systems and provide new services via service platforms, app stores and other online marketplaces. Innovative companies from a wide range of industries and numerous research institutes are involved in these projects. More than half of the companies are medium-sized businesses.

The iit is responsible for accompanying research to ensure that the projects funded under the 'Smart Service World' funding program receive the best possible support for the successful and efficient implementation of the targeted developments, that synergy effects are achieved and that the results obtained are disseminated in the sense of sustainable exploitation. At the same time, the accompanying research will address cross-cutting issues concerning legal challenges, data protection, IT security and new business models.
