Curriculum vitae
Maximilian Lindner is an interdisciplinary scholar with a focus on political science, administration and economics educated the University of Passau. His main focus was the analysis of economic and local policy issues and the social science methods required for this. In addition to his studies, from 2014 to 2018 he was an assistant to the DAAD's Helmut Schmidt Program - Public Policy and Good Governance, where he was responsible for the selection of international scholarship holders, their technical and organizational support, and also the budgeting of the project. From 2017 to 2021 he held a teaching position at the Chair of Political Science at the University of Passau, where he led study seminars on policy field analysis, political strategy development and political communication.
Maximilian Lindner has been working at the Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) since 2018. As part of the accompanying research for various technology programs of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), he is primarily concerned with monitoring digital and innovation policy discussion and decision-making processes. One focus is on the analysis of access and usage options for digital data within the research and innovation system as well as the interests of the actors involved. As a project manager of the funding programme "Digital Change in Education, Science and Research", he has been using his experience since 2021 to help design and implement the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research's (BMBF) data policy funding instruments on the topic of "data trustees". In addition, as project manager, he has been responsible for various analysis and consulting projects in the "Smart City" context since 2020.
