Accompanying research within the funding initiative 'Research Campus – Public-Private Partnership for Innovation'

The aim of the accompanying research project 'Exchange of Experience and Integration' is to expand the knowledge base on the topic of public-private partnerships and to promote the dialogue between the funded research campuses, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), politics and the interested public. In the context of the accompanying research, different research campus models from Germany and abroad will be analysed, their developments evaluated, promoting and hindering factors as well as mechanisms of action identified, and these scientific findings will be published in a practice-oriented manner via various media formats. In addition, topic-specific workshops will initiate learning processes at the research campuses and support the mutual exchange of experience. The project is being jointly subcontracted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI (Karlsruhe) and the Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit Berlin) in the VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH.
