Internationalization of vocational education and training - Scientific accompanying project of the funding guideline for the internationalization of vocational education and Training (WB-IBB)
With the Guideline to Promote the Internationalization of Vocational Education and Training, the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) supports companies and education providers in developing and testing sustainable and innovative qualification offerings for the international education and training market. Building on the results of the R&D projects in the Vocational Education and Training Export Funding Guideline (2011 - 2014), German education service providers and companies are to meet the growing interest in the German vocational education and training system abroad and, where appropriate, tie in with existing bilateral vocational education and training collaborations.
September 2017 until April 2021
The scientific support project 'wb-ibb' (Scientific Support of the BMBF Funding Initiative 'Internationalization of Vocational Education and Training') supports the implementation and strategic development of the BMBF's funding activities for the internationalization of vocational education and training through evaluation, research and networking activities. It is carried out in cooperation with the Institute for Technology and Education (ITB) at the University of Bremen and the Chair of Vocational and Business Education at the University of Osnabrück. The Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) is particularly responsible for the conception and execution of the cross-project evaluation of the funding guideline. In addition, it provides content-related contributions to the networking of the projects and strategic advice to the BMBF.
