Curriculum vitae
Désirée Tillack has a degree in journalism and has been working as a senior consultant and project manager at the Institute for Innovation and Technology (iit) since 2017. Prior to this, she gathered six years of experience as a consultant in the public relations department, designing and implementing PR activities and events, primarily on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) and the German Federal Ministry for Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK). During this period, she was also employed at the BMBF as a consultant in the Innovation Policy Division to coordinate the work on the Federal Report on Research and Innovation 2014 across all German federal ministries and to support the reporting process up to the cabinet approval and the minister's press conference. Désirée Tillack has also coordinated, designed and implemented press and communication activities for (internationally acting) offices and networks - for example for the Werner-von-Siemens-Ring Foundation, the Federal Government's Joint Electromobility Office (GGEMO) in the course of the international Electromobility Conference 2013 and for the office of the Excellence Initiative. At the Institute for Innovation and Technology, Désirée Tillack has been responsible for brand development and strategic marketing formats since 2020. In this function, she has developed designed and implemented the iit's website and other formats, and is also responsible for communication on social media channels. Before joining VDI/VDE-IT, Désirée Tillack worked for Turner Broadcasting System Germany (namely for the CNN International press office for Europe) in Berlin and Munich.
