Curriculum vitae
Dr. Leo Wangler studied political economics at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg before becoming a scientific member of staff at the Faculty of Political Economics under Prof. Dr. Andreas Freytag at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena. In addition to his faculty work, he has successfully participated in the DFG (German Research Society) Graduate College "The Economics of Innovative Change". In his Ph.D. thesis, his research activity focused on issues of climate change from a political economic perspective. His thesis was awarded the first prize of the "Aktionsrat Marktwirtschaft der Vereinigung der Bayerischen Wirtschaft" (market economy action council of the Bavarian Economic association). Since 2012, he has been employed by VDI/VDE-IT. His main working tasks are related to impact assessment, accompanying research and feasibility studies. Leo Wangler is spokesman for environmental impact assessment for the German Impact Assessment Association (DeGEval).
