Curriculum vitae

Guido Zinke advises, evaluates and conducts research on innovation and digital policy issues on behalf of the EU Commission and the German Federal Ministries of Education and Research (BMBF) and Economics and Climate Protection (BMWK) and for various German state ministries. Since 2017, he has been working as a project manager at the iit and heads the group "Start-ups, Business Models and Innovation Ecosystems" at VDI/VDE Innovation + Technik GmbH. Currently, he is responsible, among other things, for the area of strategy in the strategic project sponsorship "Strategy, Innovation Policy, Strategic Foresight, Data and Analysis Foundations for Education and Research" on behalf of the BMBF.He is also involved in the SPRIND project sponsorship, which provides technical and administrative support to the Federal Agency for Leap Innovations. In addition, he supervises various contract research projects and evaluations. Currently, he is evaluating, among other things, the security research program of the Federal Government in and advises the Hamburg Economic Authority on the further development of the Hamburg startup ecosystem. Previously, he led the accompanying research for the Smart Service World II of the BMWK, evaluated the German space program as well as the Austrian space strategy, and led the study "Trends in the Support Landscape for Startups in Germany" on behalf of the BMWK. Guido Zinke is an economist and, before joining iit and VDI/VDE-IT, worked at the Helmholtz Centre for Environmental Research Leipzig-Halle, for the Landesbank Baden-Württemberg, the Danish consultancy Rambøll, and the German management consultancy Kienbaum.
